Endowment

The French International School of Oregon Endowment is made up of four funds, each established to provide French International with an enduring source of financial security for generations to come. The school invests these funds. Once the funds reach $1M+, a portion of the income can be used to keep tuition stable, pay for new and innovative programs, provide financial aid to improve the socio-economic diversity of the population, provide professional development opportunities, and protect the health of the school during times when the economy fluctuates. The four funds are: 

FI General Fund - est. 1993 

Established at the request of alumni parent Sid Rosenheim, and funded by the 1993-93 Board of Trustees, parents and friends of the School to see its initial endowment efforts 

J.F. Genay Fund for Financial Aid - est. 2009 

Established by the Board of Trustees in recognition of the eleven years Jean-Francois Genay served our school as Head of School, and to perpetuate his believe that FI should be accessible to a broad spectrum of students. 

Patricia C. Inskeep Library Fund - est. 2009

Established by alumni parent Sarah Inskeep to support the library program in honor of her mother. 

Souede Family Endowment Fund - est. 2016

Established by the Souede family to ensure the excellence and long-term viability of French International. 

Donate to the French International endowment

You can establish a Giving Account and then donate cash, stocks or non-publicly traded assets such as private business interests, cryptocurrency and private company stock to be eligible for an immediate tax deduction. 

Think of a donor-advised fund as a personal investment account. However, the account must be created and maintained by a sponsoring organization. Most of these sponsoring organizations are either charitable arms of financial service firms or they are Community Foundations. The sponsor organization actively invests and manages the funds. Donors can contribute as frequently as they’d like. When you deposit assets into the account, you receive the charitable tax deduction immediately without the pressure of selecting a recipient organization right then.
