SUPPORT THE ANNUAL FUND ON GIVING TUESDAY

Giving Tuesday, the world’s biggest giving day, is December 3, 2024
French International will join thousands of organizations across the globe to inspire our
community to support the Annual Fund, a key fundraising initiative for our school.

GIVE NOW & MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Why Should I Donate on Giving Tuesday?

MATCHING GIFTS

On Giving Tuesday, many companies will match your donation.

Does your company match? Find Out!

Organizations like Nike and Intel have even doubled their match, meaning for every dollar you give, the company gives $2 to match! Every gift matters, and with matching gift opportunities, your generosity can create an even more powerful impact.

WHY THE ANNUAL FUND MATTERS

"Field trips and new adventures are very much something to look forward to in our household. The anticipation of the day is always so fun to see in your child. And instead of the first words out of her mouth when I pick her up are: 'Mom, did you bring me a snack' they are: 'The field trip was SO fun!' The last field trip (3rd Grade) they visited four of the cats that were placed around the city. This has inspired our child to continue searching for and documenting the locations of other cats around the city!"

PARTICIPATION IS A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE

Participation means a donation of any amount counts!

High participation speaks volume and increases our ability to secure important grant and loans
fundings.

In our ongoing efforts with the Capital Campaign, parent participation is a benchmark used by foundations and outside funders when deciding whether or not to provide FI with additional funding.

Thank you for participating on Giving Tuesday! Your generous support is not just a gift—it's an investment in the future of our students.

AN INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY OF PEOPLE

The Annual Fund inspires inclusivity and a strong sense of community through vibrant celebrations like the Carnival and Fête de la Musique. These events bring together students from diverse backgrounds to celebrate their differences and foster a positive and supportive community environment. Last year, the Annual Fund also provided $32,250 towards faculty and staff professional development helping train teachers with the very best practices and strategies for educating in a multicultural world.

PROGRAMS THAT PREPARE

The collective support of the Annual Fund ensures our school can continue to develop, enhance, and align transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary programs across the school to provide a robust curriculum for students. The Annual Fund has allowed French International to purchase 1,041 books for the library, 115 new Chromebooks, 24 iPads, a 3D Printer, a DVD Player Cart, and much more.

A PLACE WITH PURPOSE

Supporting the Annual Fund can create a more connected campus, resulting in a superior learning environment. Thanks to the Annual Fund, French International was able to invest in security measures to enhance the safety of our students including new cameras, new fencing, a gate by the Middle School, long-distance radios, and a security booth.

A PRESENCE IN PORTLAND & THE WORLD

Bringing international speakers and guests to our school is important to enrich students’ language proficiency, cultural understanding, and skills needed to excel in a globalized world. Supporting the Annual Fund enables French International to cultivate global connections. This school year, the Annual Fund supported student field trips to Bell's Orchard, the Oregon Historical Society, and the Portland Art Museum. More field trips, such as the ZooZoo performance at the Imago Theatre and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at the NW Children's Theatre, are already on the calendar!
