Middle School Welcomes Visitors from Chile

Middle School Welcomes Visitors from Chile

For two weeks in November, French International welcomed students and faculty from the Greenhouse School in Temuco, Chile. The 18 students and two teachers were welcomed into our community and stayed with French International families.

The Chilean visitors arrived in Portland on November 3 and got to meet their host families in person. They attended school from November 4 to 15 and participated in all regular school activities, including the Middle School’s community day on November 8.

Outside of school, the students spent time with their host families exploring Portland, the Oregon Coast, Mt. Hood, and beyond. Most importantly, the students and families connected and learned about each other's cultures.

The Greenhouse School is one of our international partners. In May, French International students will visit Chile for about two weeks and attend class at The Greenhouse School. Global partnerships and connections are part of our identity and critical to our strategic plan pillar of Presence. We’ve had countless students and alums talk about the relationships forged around the world. Our connection with The Greenhouse School helps open our students’ minds to the world as we educate future global leaders.
