Sixth Grade - An Interconnected World

This month, sixth graders finished their second unit, An Interconnected World. This unit provides a great opportunity for students to explore countries where their track language is spoken. It often opens their eyes to the fact that these languages and cultures are spread across various parts of the world, highlighting their interconnectedness.

As a final summative assessment, students had to write an article about their experience at French International. They were asked three major questions: why do they think Spanish, German, Mandarin, and French were chosen as languages to be taught at French International, what other language would they like to see in our school program, and what makes our school international and inclusive. Each language track teacher selected a few articles that represented the students' ideas.
