Seventh Graders Learn New Games and Build Skills in PE

Seventh Graders Learn New Games and Build Skills in PE
By: Kayden Steen

This week, the 7th graders are playing a crazy version of kickball with 28 rules and more bases! At first, it’s kind of confusing because there’s so much to remember, but the whole class is working together to figure it out. It’s all about talking with each other, helping teammates, and figuring out what to do next. Even though it’s a bit tricky, everyone’s having fun while getting better at the game and learning how to work as a team.

It’s not just about running around the field; it’s about listening, communicating, and thinking fast. The rules might be tough, but the students are getting more confident as they keep playing. Every time they talk to a teammate or figure out what’s next, they’re learning something new about teamwork and problem-solving. It’s a great way to practice being a good teammate and learning how to deal with challenges.

Even though the game is confusing at first, it’s helping everyone get better at working together and staying confident, no matter how tough it gets. As they keep playing, they’re learning more than just kickball—they’re also learning skills that will help them in the future!

Ahh was made by the PE teacher Ron Thomas as a crazy, six-base version of kickball. It has wild rules and is so much fun. Previously, there was a tournament every year. Even though the tournament stopped, older students  still remember all the craziness.
