Board of Trustees Update - October
Dear French International Community,
Hello again! As we settle deeper into the school year, I wanted to share a little more about how the Board works to support our school’s growth and long-term sustainability. As fellow parents, friends, and advocates of our students, we’re committed to ensuring FI remains a thriving place for all.
To guide our work, the Board partners closely with Scott, looking through four lenses: fiduciary responsibility (taking care of our finances), mission delivery (keeping the student experience front and center), leadership effectiveness (helping school leadership succeed), and risk mitigation (planning for the unexpected to keep our school strong).
We rely on several dedicated committees and task forces to get this work done. This year, our Finance + Budget, Capital Campaign, Construction, and Campus Transformation committees are especially busy working to support Scott and his team through the physical transformation of our school. At our last board meeting, we spent time together discussing what possibilities the campus transformation opens for our community and how we as a Board can continue to set up our school for a strong financial and academic future.
Thank you for making this school community everything that it is. Our school is special - and while the campus is a big part of that - it’s not even close to the half of it. Our community is what makes us special. Thank you.
If you ever have questions about the board, please feel free to reach out!
À bientôt,
Janna
