Maternelle Students Perform Three Shows
On June 4, 5, and 6, Maternelle students showcased their performance skills with shows for their family, friends, teachers, and peers.
Each day, a preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten class performed, giving Maternelle students in those grades an opportunity to be risk-takers and get onstage. The shows also allowed loved ones to see how much the students have learned and grown this school year.
The Maternelle teachers decided what their class would perform, and students practiced in their classes for weeks leading up to the show. During the last week of May, each class had a chance for a dress rehearsal with the rest of the Maternelle students in the audience.
As an IB school, we want students to learn how to be open-minded risk-takers. The show was a great challenge for students to demonstrate these traits as they continue to grow into global thinkers.
