Halloween Fun at French International

Halloween Fun at French International

On October 31, we celebrated Halloween with some French International traditions as well as some new, fun events.

The day kicked off with the annual Maternelle Halloween parade. TPS, preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten students walked through campus with music teacher Dave leading the way and playing some fun songs. Lower School and Middle School students lined the route and cheered for the paraders and their excellent costumes. Lower School students also took a lap around the circle to show off their Halloween costumes and celebrate the day together.

After the parade, the Maternelle students had a harvest party in the gym. Each grade had a chance to visit the gym and play games, make crafts, and get their faces painted. Parent volunteers made the morning fun for everyone involved.

In the Lower School, volunteers decorated the classrooms, so students could learn in a spooky and festive environment. The teachers put together fun activities like creating Halloween-themed art projects and festive math problems.

In the Middle School, sixth, seventh, and eighth graders came together for an assembly. The choir club kicked things off with their first performance of the year. Next up was the costume contest with four categories: Homemade, Group Costume, Funny Costume, and Miscellaneous. Plus, there was a bonus teacher round too. The Middle School celebrated the risk-takers who put themselves out there by signing up for the contest, and prizes were awarded to the costume contest winners.

Overall, the day was a blast from beginning to end. Thank you to everyone who planned, organized, and volunteered to make the day fun for all of the French International students.
