Gala Art Projects Combine Parent Vision With Student Creativity

Gala Art Projects Combine Parent Vision With Student Creativity

Each year, our parent volunteers bring creativity, dedication, and artistic vision into the classroom as Gala Art Project Coordinators. They partner with teachers and students to design beautiful art projects that come to life through collaboration and imagination. These special projects are a highlight of our Annual Gala, where student-created artwork is showcased and auctioned.

This year, creativity and purpose will be on display across grade levels. Fourth graders explored the concept of visual impairment through their project, selecting colors and using Braille to describe them, reflecting on how we experience and communicate about the world.

Our preschool students collaborated on a vibrant piece, with each child contributing a unique element to the final artwork. In third grade, students worked in groups to create original flip books, developing storylines, illustrating their ideas, and even producing short videos to bring their stories to life.

The Gala art projects showcase the power of partnership within our school community. Thanks to the vision of our parent volunteers and the creativity and effort of our students, these pieces are both meaningful and memorable.

You can get a look at all of the beautiful projects at the Gala Art Gallery on Thursday, April 2, from 5-7 PM in the gym. The artwork will be auctioned off at this year’s Annual Gala.
