French International Celebrates Fête du Vin
On October 5, more than 200 French International community members joined for a night of community and philanthropy at the annual Fête du Vin event.
Fête du Vin is an annual French International fundraiser celebrating the diversity and culture of Oregon’s wine industry while raising important funds for financial aid. This year, ten Oregon wineries and one cocktail bar participated in the event, giving attendees a variety of beverages to try.
During the event, French International parents Heather Zornetzer and Kraig Kraft held a wine-tasting class exploring wines from the Languedoc region of France. Kraig and Heather are former residents of Languedoc.
The Fête wine marketplace was open to attendees and the rest of the French International community. The wineries donated 25% of the proceeds from the wine orders to French International and this year’s event raised more than $20,000 for financial aid.
The event would not have been possible without the Fête committee members and the help of the day-of volunteers who kept things running smoothly. Thank you to the volunteers, attendees, and wine and food partners for making this year’s Fête du Vin a success
