French International School of Oregon aims to hire professionals of the highest professional integrity and caliber. Teachers are normally certified, whether in their home country or in the United States. Teachers also usually have at least three years of teaching experience. We seek individuals able to work collaboratively and within the framework of a whole-school project. For other professional positions, we expect to see strong evidence of experience in the particular area as well as the ability to work well within a team environment.
Current Openings
The IB Coordinator leads the school in its implementation and development of the IB programmes. In collaboration with the Division Head, the IB Coordinator and the Associate Head of School, they provide leadership to ensure that teachers have the necessary resources to successfully develop the programme and provide a unique learning experience for students. The IB Coordinator is essential in creating an environment of collaboration amongst all teachers and being a key connection between stakeholders to bring the IB mission to life. This position works closely with all teachers to provide one overarching language immersion curriculum for all students.
French International summer camp assistants are responsible for assisting instructors in the supervision and implementation of lessons and instructional plans in a learning environment that encourages students to fulfill their personal potential in a summer camp environment. 6/23-8/1
We are currently seeking three French Teachers for the 25-26 school year, at the Lower School and Maternelle levels. Teachers at French International are responsible for planning, organizing, developing and implementing curricula within the IB Primary Years Program curriculum framework, to support the mission of the School.
The role of the Student Monitor is to encourage collaborative play, learning, and safety during the “in-between” times in our students’ school and after school day.
The IT Specialist – Systems Admin provides technical support to students, teachers, and staff. This position is responsible for inventory management of all tech devices, computers, Chromebooks, iOS and MacOS devices as well as the configuration, maintenance, and support of computers, their peripherals, software, telephones, projectors, and other audio-visual equipment. This position also provides technology support for some school events and performances, some of which occur in the evening.
