Alumni Stories
French International alum, Chelsea Faltersack, teaches kindergarten in a remote village in St. Mary's, Alaska. She shares more about her experience working with the Algaaciq Native Village and Yupiit of Andreafski populations and her life in Alaska.
French International Alumna Millie Orlando was one of more than 10,000 torchbearers carrying the Olympic torch across France in celebration of the 2024 Olympic Games. She is also working and living full-time in Paris and reflects on her journey after French International.

This fall, French International alumna, Alexis Colner, joined the Virginia Symphony Orchestra as their harpist. Now working as a professional musician, Alexis reflects on her journey and her time at French International.
Megan Hall was part of the first Middle School graduating class. Now, she’s back at French International as a parent and working with the Oregon viticulture and vineyard community.
French International alumnus, Lach Davidson (Class of 2015) returned to French International to film part of his final project for film school. "In the Beginning" follows the journey of a fictional character with dyslexia as he navigates the US education system. The story's routes tie back to Minda McCandless, French International Middle School teacher.
French International offers advanced French classes to high school-aged alumni to prepare them for the DELF/DALF exams. This year, French International has a record 42 students taking after-school advanced French classes of various levels.
